Consumer.gov - This is a great resource for consumer information from the federal government.
Credit Reports - The only official website for a free credit report from each of the three credit repositories is www.annualcreditreport.com. You can get one free credit report from all three every 12 months; however, you can view them all at once or spread the requests out.
C.L.U.E Reports - (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) is a claims history database produced by consumer reporting agency LexisNexis® that enables insurance companies to access consumer claims information and contribute loss data, when they are underwriting or rating an insurance policy. The right to a free CLUE report every 12 months became effective Dec. 1, 2014, as a result of amendments to the FCRA, known as the FACT Act. Even if you have received a free report because of an adverse action, you still have the right to receive a free report under the FACT Act. HousingHelpNowAlaska - If foreclosure or eviction is a possibility for you, help is provided through RurAL CAP, Alaska Legal Services, AARP, LSC, and Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Alaska.
HUD's Making Home Affordable Program - The Making Home Affordable program offers assistance to as many as 7 to 9 million homeowners making a good-faith effort to make their mortgage payments, while attempting to prevent the destructive impact of the housing crisis on families and communities.

Alaska Council for the Homeless - This is a state board appointed by the governor to develop strategies for the use of state and federal resources to reduce homelessness in Alaska.
National Coalition for the Homeless - National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH) engages in public education, policy advocacy and grassroots organization, with a focus on the following areas: housing justice, economic justice, health care justice and civil rights.
National Council of State Housing Agencies - National Council of State Housing Agencies is a nonprofit organization created by the nation's state Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs) to assist in increasing housing opportunities for lower income and underserved individuals through the financing, development and preservation of affordable housing.

Alaska Legal Services - Alaska Legal Services is a private, nonprofit law firm that provides free civil legal assistance to low-income Alaskans.
Alaska Pro Bono Program - An allied effort of the Alaska Bar Association and the Alaska Legal Services Corporation, Alaska Pro Bono Program is designed to provide volunteer legal help for low-income Alaskans. It teaches the Alaska Legal Services Landlord Tenant Clinics.
Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST - A new initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST is designed to promote compliance with the Fair Housing Act design and construction requirements. The program consists of a comprehensive training curriculum, as well as a toll-free information line and website designed to provide technical guidance to the public.

Landlord and Tenant Act - This act details landlord and tenant rights and obligations under Alaska law, approved by the Alaska Department of Law and published by the Alaska Real Estate Commission. It is advisable to check with your nearest Legislative Information Office to find out whether the law has been amended. The Alaska Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act is not included at this website but is available for reference at your local law library. This information was last revised in March 1997.
Landlord/Tenant Clinics - Volunteer attorneys who teach these free clinics focus on providing in-depth advice on landlord/tenant law. They also offer special assistance for tenants with certain types of housing problems. Clinics are open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Association of Alaska Housing Authorities - A private, nonprofit corporation with a board of directors that includes the executive directors of Alaska's 14 regional housing authorities and the executive director of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, the state's housing finance agency.
National Low-Income Housing Coalition - Dedicated to ending America's affordable housing crisis, NLIHC educates, organizes and advocates to ensure decent, affordable housing within healthy neighborhoods for everyone. NLIHC provides up-to-date information, formulates policy and educates the public on housing needs and the strategies for solutions.
