Staff Story: Mark Romick

Sleepout

Raising awareness and combating homelessness are top priorities for AHFC.

Sleep Out Helps Out

The engagement includes funds from the Homeless Assistance and Special Needs Housing Grant programs aiding providers of homelessness support.

But the involvement doesn’t stop there.

It goes from rank-and-file staff volunteering at Bean’s Café to the management supporting Covenant House yearly Sleep Out in Anchorage.

Mark's Contribution

AHFC’s Deputy Executive Director Mark Romick walks the talk. He took his turn in the cardboard box in 24-degree weather for the Sleep Out, an event raising more than the $300,000, topping those in 20 other Sleep Outs held the same night across the U.S.
