SERVICING GUIDE REVISIONS: CONTACT SERVICING
Revised Form SER-71 Notification or Recommended Action

  • Notification of Recommended Action (Form SER-71) has been renamed Notification or Recommended Action.
  • The word “Update” was removed, to encourage Servicers to email loan updates to AHFC Servicing.

  • Date of Last Verbal Contact revised to include additional types of contact, to specify telephone, email, mail, or face-to-face contact.
  • Recommendation options added to address Forbearance Plans exceeding 6 months, Repayment Plans exceeding 18 months. Additional Recommendation codes added are Servicer Advance, VA Refund, FHA/USDA/VA Partial Claim and Repurchase.

  • AHFC Servicing amended the SER-71 Instructions pages 1 -3, to clarify expectations. Specifically, significant detail added to the “Background Information Section” on page 3, differentiating between information to provide for an Initial Delinquency Notification and for a Recommendation.
