Mike Smith

I am a born and raised Alaskan, grew up in Sterling and graduated high school in Soldotna. I left for college to pursue my baseball career and ended up with a Business degree from New Mexico State University. I came home in 2003 and got into the financial workforce in April of 2004. I have now been doing home loans for over 20 years, where I have been a manager for all but the first 9 months of that time. Between myself and my team I have had influence on over 10,000 clients and their home purchase or refinance goals.  

It has always been my dream to be seen as a resource for people, lending my knowledge and experience to help people make informed decisions. I do this through home financing and mortgage lending, acting more as a teacher and educator in all things mortgage related so that the people who come to trust me can feel confident in making those decisions about what is best for them, in their current financial situation.

Why AHFC?

AHFC provides Alaska residents with an alternative to traditional financing options. It can fill in the gaps that are missed by regular loan programs in situations that are unique to the Alaskan Workforce and our Property Profiles.
