Veterans Respond to Typhoon Halong
Alaska Housing Finance Corporation stands with communities across Western Alaska affected by recent storms and Typhoon Halong. These events caused significant damage and displacement throughout the region.
Individuals, communities, and partners across Alaska and the Lower 48 have come together to support the recovery. Key to this response are Veterans of the U.S. Military who have joined side by side with other responders to assist evacuees, many of whom are Veterans themselves.
We honor our Veterans and AHFC expresses our gratitude for their sacrifices and for the continued service they provide to Alaskans in need. As recovery work continues, these men and women stand side-by-side in Alaska communities removing debris, supporting housing improvement efforts, and repairing critical infrastructure.
Thank you to our Veterans.
Kirk, U.S. Navy Veteran with 24 years of service; and Marcella, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran with 31 years of service have been supporting the housing response with Team Rubicon assisting in recovery and rebuilding efforts across Western Alaska.
