New to renting? Building a positive relationship with your landlord and neighbors can make your rental experience a success. If you and your landlord have mutual respect and trust, it will also make it easier to approach them if you have any questions or concerns throughout your tenancy. Plus, each time you sign a lease agreement you have the opportunity to build a positive rental history that can benefit you in the future!

Tenant Responsibilities

  • Pay Rent On Time - Be aware this is your rental history!

  • Read Your Lease - Your lease is a binding legal contract.

  • Read Your House Rules - Share the rules with everyone in the family.

  • Keep Your Space Clean - Keep your apartment and any shared common areas clean.

  • Get Permission For Changes - This includes things like adding a household member or getting a pet.

  • Renters Insurance - Renters insurance may cover damage to your personal belongings.

  • Prioritize Privacy - Respect the peace and privacy of other tenants.
