Calling all Alaskans age 55 and older: Experience matters, share yours.

Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is surveying residents with the goal of better understanding the housing needs of Alaskans as they age. The survey gathers information about resources, supports and investments needed for affordable and accessible housing options.

Influencing the future of Alaska’s housing

For older Alaskans, this is an opportunity to ensure your voice is heard. Housing planners may use the data collected to guide future decisions. Survey results may influence:

  • Housing development
  • Accessibility improvements
  • Senior services and supports
  • Cost and affordability programs

How can you participate?

We are looking for Alaskans age 55 and older to complete a simple online survey. Questions cover topics such as:

  • Your current housing
  • Utility costs
  • Transportation barriers
  • Access to services in rural areas
  • What is most important to you in your housing

Survey details

  • The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to finish
  • Friends, family or others can help you complete the survey
  • Survey answers are anonymous and individual answers will not be shared publicly
  • The broader results of the study will be available in Summer 2026
