Tackling Challenges Through Collaboration

Alaska Housing Finance Corporation's 2024 Annual Report provides an overview of how Alaska Housing and its subsidiaries continue to collaborate with community partners to improve access to safe, quality, affordable housing statewide.  

In Fiscal Year 2024, this collaboration resulted in: 

  • Addressing key housing issues through the passing of House Bill 273 and Senate Bill 205
  • Spurring new housing construction through the initiation of a cash rebate for new, energy efficient home construction
  • Jumpstarting new construction in rural communities through the Rural Professional Housing Program
  • Celebrating the opening of new affordable housing in Fairbanks
  • Helping first-time homebuyers achieve their dream of homeownership
  • Recognizing landlords who participate in rental assistance programs through Landlord Appreciation
  • Providing safe, affordable housing for an average of 10,416 individual Alaskans night after night

What's In the 2024 Annual Report

The Annual Report includes updates and statistics about the many housing programs AHFC offers as well as first-person stories from the people who play critical roles in operating these programs. 

You'll hear a first-time homebuyer who realized his dream of providing a secure home for his young daughter, from mortgage lenders, landlords and non-profit partners who help Alaskans access safe, quality, affordable housing, and from renters who found stability with the help of housing assistance.

Credit Ratings Remain Strong

In FY2024, Alaska Housing's dividend amount was $37.8 million. 

On Wall Street, AHFC's general obligation credit ratings remained strong. The three most prominent credit rating agencies have given AHFC high-quality ratings on its general obligation debt.
