Public Housing Program, Sitka

Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) is accepting applications for placement on its Sitka Public Housing (SPH) Waiting List. AHFC will be opening its 3 and 4 bedroom waiting list(s).

  1. Applications will be accepted beginning today.
  2. Each applicant family may only submit one application.
    1. Applications must meet income eligibility guidelines.
    2. All applicants will receive written notification with the status of their application.
  3. Waiting List applications can be found at the following locations:
    1. Online at https://www.ahfc.us/publichousing/rental-programs/waiting-list-status/.
    2. The Paxton Manor Office at 422 Andrews Street and Swan Lake Terrace at 404 Lake Street in the front vestibule.
  4. You may mail your completed application or hand-deliver it to the Paxton Manor Office at 422 Andrews Street and Swan Lake Terrace at 404 Lake Street in the front vestibule. If you wish to mail your application, send it to: AHFC, 422 Andrews Street, Sitka, AK 99835.

Project-Based Voucher Program, Anchorage

On August 7, 2018, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) will begin accepting applications for placement on its Anchorage Project-Based Voucher Waiting List. This program provides subsidy for rent and utilities to eligible families at AHFCs Alpine Terrace property in the Muldoon area. AHFC will be qualifying families and filling available vacancies on a first-come, first-served basis. To be eligible:

  • A familys gross annual income cannot exceed the limits shown below.

  • Household members must pass AHFCs screening process to be eligible for housing assistance. The screening process includes verification of household members and their income, previous housing assistance participation, debts owed to AHFC or other housing authorities, citizenship status, previous tenancies, and any criminal activity or history.
  • All units are two-bedroom units. For one- and two-person households, minimum monthly income must be $800 to qualify.

Application Submission

  1. Applications will be accepted beginning August 7, 2018.
  2. Each applicant family may only submit one application.
    1. Duplicate applications will be withdrawn.
    2. All applicants will receive written notification with the status of their application.
  3. Waiting List applications can be found at the following locations:
    1. Online at https://www.ahfc.us/publichousing/rental-programs/waiting-list-status/. At the bottom of the page, choose the Anchorage link next to Alpine Terrace.
    2. The Anchorage Family Investment Center at 440 E. Benson Blvd. during normal business hours.
  4. You may mail your completed application, hand-deliver it, or place it in the drop box located outside the Anchorage Family Investment Center. If you wish to mail it, send it to: PO Box 241385, Anchorage, AK 99524-1385.
