Disposal of Surplus Supplies from Typhoon Halong Relief Effort #27-RFI-001

In response to Typhoon Halong, the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (“AHFC” or the “Corporation”) served as a depository for donated supplies intended for distribution to residents of Western Alaska displaced by the storm and in need of temporary housing. Over the past year, AHFC distributed the supplies necessary to meet that need. AHFC now holds a quantity of surplus supplies at its warehouse located at 700 Bragaw Street, Anchorage, Alaska, that are no longer required for typhoon-response purposes.

It is the intent of AHFC to distribute this surplus, at no cost, to eligible organizations that support Alaskans through a non-profit or governmental mission. This Request for Information (“RFI”) is issued to solicit letters of interest from eligible organizations that may be able to make use of the surplus supplies described in Attachment A.

This RFI is a solicitation of interest only. It does not seek bids, proposals, or offers for the sale or procurement of goods or services, does not obligate AHFC to distribute any surplus to any respondent, and does not create a contract, right, or entitlement of any kind in favor of a respondent.

Looking For Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Section 3 Businesses

In order to comply with requirements, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) will be establishing a Business Registry listing all qualified businesses with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Women-Owned Enterprises (WBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Section 3 businesses to bid on a variety of future maintenance-related work at AHFC projects statewide.
