Revenue Bond, 2026 (Coho Park and Chinook Apartments Project)
The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (“Corporation”) will conduct a public hearing at its headquarters located at 4300 Boniface Parkway, Third Floor Finance Department Conference Room, Anchorage, Alaska 99504, on February 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., regarding the following proposed bond issues, pursuant to AS 18.56, as amended, the interest on which is excluded from federal income taxation:
A. Revenue Bond, 2026 (Coho Park and Chinook Apartments Project)
Purpose/Project: To finance the development of an affordable housing project consisting of approximately 116 units in Juneau, Alaska (the “Coho Park and Chinook Apartments Project”) and to pay (or to reimburse Steele Juneau LLC for the payment of) certain related expenses.
Maximum Amount of Bond: Bonds to be issued in one or more series pursuant to a plan of finance in an amount not to exceed $21,500,000 with the issuance split as follows:
Coho Park - $9,700,000
Chinook Apartments - $11,800,000
Borrower/Initial Owner: The borrower and initial owner of the Coho Park and Chinook Apartments Project will be Steele Juneau LLC, an Alaska limited liability company (or its affiliates).
Project Locations: Coho Park - 3601 Amalga Street Juneau, AK 99801. Chinook Apartments - 9160 Cinema Dr. Juneau, AK 999801.
Comments and general inquiries must be submitted in writing on or before the date of the public hearing to: Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, 4300 Boniface Parkway, Anchorage, Alaska 99504, Attention: Margaret Gregorich. Oral remarks during the hearing may not exceed five minutes in duration. Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, special accommodations will be provided with 72-hour notice. At the time and place set for the public hearing, interested persons will be given a reasonable opportunity to express their views, both orally (via telephonic participation) and in writing on the issuance of the Bonds, the plan of financing, or related matters. This hearing constitutes the public hearing referred to in Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended and is expected to be held in accordance with IRS Revenue Procedure 2022-20.
