AHFC is focused on ensuring Alaska's seniors have access to affordable and accessible homes and supportive services. We work with Alaska's Commission on Aging to offer research, information and solutions to provide the best housing options and support for aging Alaskans across the state.

Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is gathering information about the resources, supports and investments needed for affordable and accessible housing options for older Alaskans. Results from this study will be available in Summer 2026.

AHFC is looking for survey participants who currently live in Alaska and are 55 years or older. Friends, family and other people can help with answering the survey. Answers will be kept anonymous and individual responses will not be shared publicly.

This survey takes most people about 10-15 minutes to finish. Survey closes April 1, 2026.

Along with funding major senior housing projects, AHFC keeps an up-to-date inventory of all the senior housing available in Alaska for independent and assisted living, and operates senior/disabled public housing facilities. Our office provides information on the types of housing available, as well as funding sources to help make housing affordable.
