The hiring process at AHFC varies depending on the position and location. Generally, it includes submission and review of your online application and related materials, followed by an interview, reference check, background check and passing a drug test.
Our online application system will prompt you to provide a resume and/or cover letter if it is required for a specific job. If so, share specific skills and capabilities that relate to the position, highlight your special interests and provide details about your past work and accomplishments. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you!
One to two pages is the standard for job resumes. Note, AHFC’s job portal asks every candidate the same questions related to qualifications and experience.
AI can be a great work tool but the best applications are those that reflect your true, authentic voice. Definitely make use of spell check and proofing tools.
We know your time is valuable. Once you’ve submitted all required application materials, you can expect an email confirming your application is complete and has been received.
If you are selected for an interview, you can expect to receive a phone call from the Hiring Manager to schedule an interview.
A background check may include identity verification, employment history, driver’s history, criminal records and education confirmation. Depending on the nature of the job, additional information may be required.
We respect your privacy and understand that contacting a current employer might cause disruptions. AHFC will only contact your current employer with your written permission. There are no demerits for those who wish or need to provide other references.
Yes. AHFC is a drug-free work space and the goal at AHFC is to create safe work environments. All applicants are required to take a pre-employment drug test at a specified location. All employment offers are contingent upon you passing this test.
Most positions at AHFC work a traditional work week Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., however, there are positions that require different office hours and those are specified in the job description.
AHFC employees are dedicated to their work and when possible we provide opportunities for hybrid telework. Telework is dependent on job duties, performance and approved at the discretion of a supervisor.
The interview environment varies depending on the position and location. Whenever possible, we want to meet you in person!
The interview process is an important piece of the puzzle, allowing AHFC to best fit the most qualified applicants with job openings. We do recognize that interviewing during normal business hours can be challenging. We may be able to accommodate you with a video conference so you can avoid travel time to and from AHFC’s interview location.
AHFC is about people — both those we serve and those who serve, making a difference in people’s lives.
