Home Opportunity Program (HOP)
The HOP program provides down payment and closing cost assistance to low-income individuals and families who are trying to purchase a home.
The funds are made available through nonprofit intermediaries who administer programs in the major urban areas of Alaska. Please contact the agency that serves your community to see if you qualify for the program.
Grant Funding Availability
The grant funding available for SFY2017 is $1,400,000 which includes $1,250,000 of project funds and $150,000 in admin funds.
Registration is currently closed.
AHFC anticipates opening the registration process for the SFY2018 iteration in the summer of 2017 (dependent on funding). For interested parties, please sign up for the AHFC mailings to keep up to date on the program, contact the program manager for direct updates, or check back in the summer for the SFY2018 iteration registration announcement.
