Continuum of Care (CoC)
AHFC serves as the “Collaborative Applicant” or Lead Agency that coordinates the submission of the annual application to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) for funding under the Continuum of Care program for the Balance of State CoC (all areas outside of Anchorage). CoC funds are used by agencies to assist homeless persons to access permanent housing and to support the Alaska Homeless Management Information System (AKHMIS). AHFC also provides assistance to meet the HUD required 25% local match through the CoC Grant Match Program.
The Grant Match Program is designed to assist organizations in meeting their HUD matching requirement for the federal Continuum of Care program.
In order to receive Grant Match funding through AHFC, you must apply for federal funding through the Balance of State Continuum of Care (https://www.alaskahousing-homeless.org/coc/) or the Anchorage Continuum of Care (http://anchoragehomeless.org/coc/).
Please review the HUD CoC NOFA (https://www.hudexchange.info/resource/5719/fy-2018-coc-program-nofa/) or review the requirements of the Anchorage Coalition or the Alaska Coalition to ensure your proposed program meets the eligibility requirements for this funding opportunity.
To be eligible for funding under this program, “Intent to Apply” forms must be received by 5:00 p.m. Local Anchorage Time, August 8, 2018. Forms will only be accepted via email at: email@example.com. Forms delivered to an incorrect AHFC address or received after the deadline will not be eligible to apply and will not be considered for funding. Fax and hard copy forms will not be accepted.
