Continuum of Care (CoC)

AHFC serves as the Collaborative Applicant or Lead Agency that coordinates the submission of the annual application to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) for funding under the Continuum of Care program for the Balance of State CoC (all areas outside of Anchorage). CoC funds are used by agencies to assist homeless persons to access permanent housing and to support the Alaska Homeless Management Information System (AKHMIS) and Statewide Coordinated Entry System (CES). AHFC also provides assistance to meet the HUD required 25% local match through the annual CoC Grant Match Program.

FY2019 Continuum of Care Grant Match Program

The Grant Match Program is designed to assist organizations in meeting their HUD matching requirement for the federal Continuum of Care program.

In order to receive Grant Match funding through AHFC, you must apply for federal funding through the Balance of State Continuum of Care or the Anchorage Continuum of Care.

FFY2019 CoC Grant Match was a renewal year. Grantees who received awards through the FFY18/SFY19 application process are eligible for equal funding amounts in FFY2019/SFY20 funding cycle, provided that the grantee receives equal or greater federal funding from the FFY2019 CoC competition.
