Apply Now for Homeowner Assistance - Posted March 14, 2022
The application period for Alaska Housing Homeowner Assistance is now open. If you or someone you know is a homeowner and struggling to make ends meet, there may be assistance available and you can check your eligibility and apply today. The application period closes on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. AKST.

Alaska Housing Finance Corporation opened the pre-registration window for Alaska Housing Homeowner Assistance, Monday, Feb. 28, 2022. As of 9:30 this morning, 4,007 people have checked their eligibility. The majority represents interest from Anchorage, Mat-Su, Juneau, Fairbanks and Ketchikan. All Alaska homeowners financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic are encouraged to pre-register and check their eligibility at AlaskaHousingRelief.org in advance of the formal application window March 14 - April 4, 2022.
Pre-registering for Alaska Housing Homeowner Assistance allows homeowners who have been impacted financially by COVID-19 to see if they are eligible to receive assistance. It also allows them to start providing important information, saving time when the application period officially opens on March 14, 2022.

The objective of the congressionally approved program is to reduce mortgage delinquencies, forbearances and foreclosures, as well as prevent loss of utilities or energy services, providing a new layer of security for Alaskans facing challenges due to the pandemic. Homeowners are encouraged to preregister at AlaskaHousingRelief.org beginning Feb. 28, 2022.
