Alaska homeowners facing pandemic-related financial hardships such as mortgage delinquencies are encouraged to apply immediately. The online application process is easy to navigate and mobile-friendly — currently, roughly 71% of applications have been submitted by a mobile device. Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) is accepting applications for a new Alaska Housing Rent Relief period beginning Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2021, and closing Oct. 1, 2021, providing up to three months of rent relief to eligible applicants who meet the federal requirements. The program, a new segment of the federal COVID-19 relief package passed at year-end 2020, offers protection for renters/tenants vulnerable to eviction by providing direct rent relief payments to qualifying landlords and utility companies.

Educational Scholarships up to $2,500 - Posted October 1, 2020
Our Education Scholarship program is open and accepting applications. If you've been thinking about attending a trade or vocational school, traditional college, or other professional training, apply for up to $2,500 in educational funds. Applicants must reside in an assisted rental unit owned by AHFC or receive assistance through the Housing Choice Voucher program. Other eligibility requirements also apply.
